Welcome to the UFirst website.
The UFirst program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City began as a way to help freshmen students with their academic and social transition to college. For some students, this transition is smooth, while others encounter a few bumps along the way. With many situations, there are resources on campus that can provide assistance.
Beginning Fall 2011, the UFirst program was expanded to include all undergraduate students. UMKC is committed to supporting students to achieve academic success. A variety of academic and support services are available on campus to provide assistance.
UMKC faculty and staff will work collaboratively through the UFirst program to identify students who may need additional assistance. Academic Advisers, Life Coaches, and Support Services Staff will work with students to discuss and identify areas where students may be experiencing difficulty and assist them in making connections on campus to best address their concerns and needs. The plan is for us to provide you the help you need to ensure your success at UMKC.
